I think its about time i wrote about the Beginner's Photography Workshop by Sony :D

Starting off ...

I first got my Sony A300 DSLR Camera around the end of April and have been dying to join Sony's Basic Photography Workshop to learn the functions and features of my camera.

But sadly, the workshop was always full whenever i tried to apply for it. So months passes by with my trying to register myself for the workshop to no avail. Till finally in the month of October i finally managed to get in. Wooohoooo !!!! Finally, after 5 months of trying, i finally managed to register myself as a participant for the course.

Usually the workshop would be held in Sony Style KLCC, but ... .. .

this time its held at The Coronade Hotel @ Jalan Walter Greenier, plus we get models to shoot !!!

How much better does it get ???

You get free lessons and model shooting !!! Woohooo !!!! Kudos to Sony and John for organizing everything.

I was very glad that I found portraits of my great grandparents. It just goes to show that a photo will last forever even when the person is not around. I've never met my graet grandparents on either side, at least now i know how they look like on my mother's side :D. It kinda gives you a sense of belonging ... .. . ok ... now i have no idea what i'm talking about anymore haha :D

Anyways i saw this car parked at the parking lot at Holland Village

For some raeson i just find it so damn cool, a car that small and its not a Smart. Haha. Its a Mitsubishi with MIVEC technology in it. Woooooo !!! I wonder when will this car ever come to the Malaysian market.

I was browsing through the photos in my computer and i found this set of photos which i took in Singapore and never posted here.

These photos were taken at Lian Shan Shuang Lin Monastery located at Toa Payoh. Its roughly 10 minutes by bus from Toa Payoh Central. The beauty of this place is that its located right in the middle of HDB flats hidden from the outside view. The only way you can see this place is if you are travelling along the highway, otherwise its totally obscured from the outside world.

Anyways back to the temple. The place is HUGE !!!! As in MASSIVELY HUGE !!!!

Here is a general overview layout of the entire place

In fact the layout does not really do justice to how big the place is.

The entire place has a olden day Chinese feel to it. If you look into the way olden Chinese houses were built, you'll immediately notice the similarities that are present. The presense of a huge courtyard together with the main hall and sub halls.

The main area of the temple which you can see is at the centre of the entire complex, consists of 3 main big prayer halls, which are really huge and beautiful.

Here i found an interesting sculpture (i think) made out of stone (i think also)

Life as a slacker so far ... .. .

Life ... .. .

My life for the past few months have been ... how do i put it ... boring and interesting.

Well ... boring because most of my friends have already left to pursue their sutdies overseas, interesting because of the spare time i have with me right now, i've been able to help out with various charities to pass time.

Not to mention that i've also had the time to improve my photography skills (i hope) and also learn a few photoshop tricks at the same time since my pc can now finally open photoshop and a browser together without crashing :D

Ok ... i know i suck at blogging, lack of updates and the list goes on

Not sure whether have i written bou this yet but here goes ...

Early this year, my mom's friend Vincent asked me whether was i interested to be a volunteer at a camp for cancer children. It was a very last minute thing, i only got confirmation 2 days before leaving for the camp. Initially, i thought i was going there to babysit a few kids, make sure that they are ok, take some photo shots of the place since it is a beach, and not be having any fun at all. (Those of you who were at the camp, please dun be offended k, ;D i had loads of fun)

My initial thoughts before i went was that these kids were going to be feeling down and well ... not fun. Boy was i wrong, when i arrived at cancerlink on the morning we were departing, i was shocked to see the camp participants bustling around, making new friends with new kids, catching up with old friends. Then only i realised that they were really just ordinary kids ... like us, they still have fun, and that was when my whole mindset was totally changed. Although we as in me and Roger were supposed to be volunteers at the camp, we hung out with the kids there just like we would hang out with our friends back home. It was AWESOME. You totally get to know them and they are way cool man. You see the other side of life which you don't usually see.

Anyways enough of the chit chat, its pix time

I managed to get some great sunrise shots at the beach which was behind the hotel :D, the sun there was soooooo beautiful, it was totally worth the wait. The moon at night was beautiful as well, but i totally forogt to bring my camera. Sigh ... just one of those moments in life.

Then my friend calls me up and asks me whether do i want to go to the Nuffnang Wild "Live" Party and i was like what the heck, just go for fun only lor, and it turned out to be quite a fun event, met quite a number of bloggers there as well as media people.

Haha, finally some more updates, I am officially doing nothing with my life. Haha, have been bumming for the past few weeks and will be for the next few weeks.

Was busy helping out at a cancer camp. When i came back, my mom suddenly just dropped the news to me that we were going singaopore the next day.

I am posting this from singapore right now on my psp haha ;)

Redang Part 3 (Final)

K its about time i finished up on redang, have too many back logging to do. Haha

This was taken outside one of the rooms, before we went over to Pasir Panjang for some night life

After that we made our way to Pasir Panjang to have some night time fun. We took the route that i scouted out in the morning when i went to Laguna

Next morning, i woke up at 5.30am just to wait for sunrise.

Redang Part 2

Time for the 2nd installment

Everyone is on the boat, waiting for it to depart

The boat ride to the island took roughly 45 minutes from the merang jetty at the mainland. The boat we rode was powered by twin Yamaha 250 engines.

And this is what happens when the boat is at full speed

Here is an attempt of landscape shooting while on a moving boat

After 45 minutes, we finally arrived at the Redang Kalong resort, since we were early, we were told to wait around at the canteen area while they clean the rooms up

As you can see, some of us were very tired from the bus journey and all the waiting and transit time

The rest of the day was spent snorkeling and chilling out, was too lazy to take out my camera to shoot haha

The next morning, I wanted to wake up at 5.00am to shoot the sunrise, but was too tired, so i ended up waking up 6.30am to shoot the sunrise

This was the result of my efforts

There were a few more shots, but none of them were worth posting

After my morning "shoot", I decided to take a morning hike to Laguna Redang resort

And look at the "vampire" that woke up and decided to join me

We passed by Redang Inn, which happens to be a abandoned resort along the teluk kalong beach

After roughly 20 minutes, we finally reached Laguna Redang

The rest of the day was spent snorkeling and chilling again, seems to be the only thing we do haha

I managed to snap this squirrel stealing watermelon leftovers from the tables

Yea man, i just got back from Pulau Redang which is situated off the coast of Terengganu. For those of you who do not know, this year happens to be Visit Terengganu Year as well haha, so you can imagine the amount of people at the beach.

Friday night was a wet and dark night. Then the heavens answered our prayers by giving us a clear sky.

And then ....

It was time for Colbie Caillat's promo tour or a mini concert (i think). Haha anyways doesn't matter, all that matters was that she was there and she was playing and singing her songs. Her famous songs like bubly, realize were great, she also sang a few new songs like magic and 1 more which i can't remember the name.

Well, all in all it was a great night.

Chinese new year has come and gone like the wind of yesterday. Chap Go Meh which is the last day of Chinese New Year has passed by quite silently for me, other than my neighbors shooting off fireworks and singing karaoke late into the night.

And yea !!!!

My camera is not dead, i finally pulled my bum off and went to the Olympus Service Center to get my camera checked out. Looks like it is a memory card problem haha, damn even the new one that i bought had a problem with it. Haha made me so worried.

Hi all, i know that i have not been updating my blog for a veryyyy long time.

Well, first of i would like to wish Gong Xi Fa Cai to every chinese out there. I'm sure everyone had very veryy good food to eat for their Chinese New Year reunion dinner, i know mine was great. Only prob was that there was soooooooo much meat. Sorry again no pics cus my cam is still dead as i dun have the time to get it fixed at the service center, and also the fact that it was right before chinese new year.

Next, ANG POWs !!!! I'm sure every kid out there has them. Its like christmas for chinese people. Hahahaha kids get ang pows and adults feel the pinch. Haha, its always great to be a kid.

Anyways on the 19th of January which was last Saturday, my wushu association together with the tai-chi association had its first annual dinner.

Well the event can be considered ok overall. There were a few problems here and there but overall everything was good.

Last night at approximately 2100 hours, we had our 2nd Puay Chai class of 2000 6I gathering. Except this time it was bigger, better and much more fun. Haha, the last gathering was at Laundry in the Curve and the music was so loud till we had difficulties hearing what we were saying. This time the gathering was held at the apartment in the curve and i will say that it was the best place to hang out. Kudos to Winnie (i think) for choosing the place.

Yesterday can be considered the last day of classes for this semester. I was bored cus all the teachers were like just talking to us and not really teaching, luckily i brought my camera along with me. So i was shooting random stuff and here are the pics

Wow what a roller coaster ride my day has been.

My day started off with a bang, i woke up went to the toilet to do my business, took the psp with me and then disaster strikes, i found out that the X button does not respond, arrgghhhh noooooo my dear psp is only 2 months old and THIS happens !!???!!! When i was done with the washroom, i called bernard the person who sold me the psp and he says most likely dust particles got jammed in between the button and the board causing it to be unresponsive. Phew .... at least nothing major, he ask me to bring it over so that he can clean it for me. Lucky !!!!

After that, i read online that in order to get my Creative Zen Touch to work with Windows Vista, i had to update my firmware to the new one. So off i went downloading the new firmware. Mind you i want to upgrade my OS to Vista because my XP is giving me a lot of problems now and i want to try Vista for fun since i will be reformating my pc soon anyways. Guess what half way during the updating process, the program hanged, the BLOODY THING HANGED and right after it deleted the firmware in my player, so now i'm left with a 20GB mp3 player without any firmware to boot. DAMN !!! I tried my best to revive the thing again by installing an older firmware, but to my dismay, the error message saying that my player is not connected keeps popping up although my player is connected. DANG ! 2 of my gadgets died on me on the same day. How bad can that be.

So with no mp3 player left, i decided to bring my camera to college and just take photos of random stuff. I'll post the pics up tomorrow after i have made some minor adjustments to them.

When i came back, my mom told me that there is a 90% chance that my maid has stage 4 pelvis cancer. I was like WTF ! ! ! and here i was thinking that my day was bad, i am just stunned even as i am writing this now i am still in disbelieve. Just goes to prove that people nowadays are more prone to have cancer.

Haha, here's the other part of my M.I.A life. On the 27th was my friend's birthday, her family had the celebration at Tony Roma's at Cineleisure. The amount of food that was ordered was just uncountable. Everyone had abit of something, so i'll just let the pictures do the talking for now.

There were more food coming but after my beef ribs came, i succumbed to it and devoured it instantly forgetting to take any photos of the other scrumptious delicacies that landed on our table. Haha

Oh and did i mention that it was my friends birthday ? I now present you the birthday girl !!!

Hi all !!! As you might have noticed i have been MIA for quite a long time. Haha i apologize for that as i have been really busy this past few days. Anyways, I'm back now and let the blogging continue.

K, first off i'll try to arrange everything in sequential order, if i do mix anything up haha that's too bad for you.

Lets start off with the 26th of December which happens to be Boxing Day. Yay !!! My mom finally came back from Singapore together with my beloved camera.(Now i get to shoot more).

My mom bought me 3 pairs of shoes from Singapore and i went over the roof when i saw them. (Haha, FYI it is impossible for me to get shoes in Malaysia because of my feet size which is US15 so haha pardon the self syok)

Merry Christmas to everyone. The season to be jolly has arrived yet again and certainly there are things to be jolly about. Haha, i dun even understand that myself but who cares, hahahhahaha !!!

Christmas is the season to be giving. Like the old saying goes, its always better to give than to receive. Haha, well i bought quite alot of things this time round but unfortunately my bro "pao" my camera to singapore liao so i am left stranded here without a camera. Haha

My eve was spent at my friend's place in Villa Damansara. There wasn't really a party but it was great to hang out just among friends. Haha.

Since my mom and bro are in singapore, i get to do Christmas shopping alone. Haha, i bought quite a few items myself, when i get the camera back i'll show it to you guys.

Sad Dong Zhi Festival

Haha, yesterday was our chinese Dong Zhi festival. Its a festival where family members gather around and eat these little balls called tang yuan. Haha, we are supposed to0 eat 1 for each year we have lived, so technically i am supposed to be eating 19 this year. But, haha as i mentioned earlier my mom and brother is in Singapore, so there is no one around to eat tang yuan with me. Sigh .....

But luckily, my neighbour was kind enough to give me some hahahaha, so i had like i think a gazillion tang yuan's hahaha just because i didn't want them to go to waste. So that makes me a gazillion years old now hahahhaa

Sunway Extreme Park

Hi guys, today i went to Sunway Extreme Park, not the big one opposite Sunway Medical Center, but the one inside Sunway Lagoon itself. Come to think about it, its my first time in Sunway Lagoon as well. Hahahahaha, imagine that staying here in PJ for 19 years and i have yet to step into Sunway Lagoon, pathetic right. Hahahaha.

The first activity we played at the extreme park was paintball wars !!!! Haha it was fun we had a 3 on 3 match. Me, Andrew, Kevin, Keefe, Kevin's Dad, Victor were the players during this paintball wars. Myself together with kevin and victor were in the red team while kevin's dad together with andrew and keefe were in another team. We played a capture the flag style match and the final score at the end of the day was 3 - 0. Care to guess which team won ???

Haha, next activity we pursued was the flying fox. We had to climb up this 6 story structure just to get to the starting point of the flying fox. When i reached the top, then only i found out that i was over the weight limit of 100Kg. Wasted my efforts climbing up those stairs. Haha

Well after that, the gang went for kayaking but i was too lazy to do it. Then the last activity on the list was the ATV ride. The ride was quite fun, although the bike looked like a normal bike, the ammount of torque produced was incredible.

After extreme park, we went to Sunway Pyramid and shopped around.

Hi all, first off i would like to apologize for the lack of pictures in my last few posts. This is because as mentioned earlier my brother went to Singapore and he took my camera with HIM !!!!! So that leaves me with no camera, haha i will you have to wait till my mom is back before i can start shooting pictures again.

Sigh .........

Anyways, yesterday i spent nearly the whole day in One Utama shopping for a christmas gift for a certain someone. Haha, i have some ideas already but still thinking what to get. After that i watched the movie I am Legend by Will Smith. I had no idea that the movie would become a zombie flick when i first saw the posters outside the cinema. Hahaha, that just goes to show how deceiving looks can be. Anyways the story progresses quite well, describing how 1 man is alive in New York city, the whole city either died or became "Darkseekers" which are practically zombies that feed on humans. Haha, but the twist here that Will Smith is not just any sruvivor, he is immune to the virus (which was originally a cure for cancer), he is also trying to find a cure to to this virus using his own blood. Haha that will be all i'm writing, go and watch the show if you really want to find out everything else, i would definetly recommend it to you all.

After the movie, i went to Laundry in the Curve again, to meet up with my high school friends. Haha it was fun, everyone was drinking and talking shit the whole night hahaha, its been ages since we had fun like that. Sigh .... i miss the good old times .......

Morning to all, first off i would like to say that my Company Law test was a bomb. The teacher told us to study like dogs and i sacrificed my weekend just to study for this paper. When i saw the paper yesterday i was like wttttfffffff !!!!!!!! I could have done it before i even studied and still manage to get a decent grade. The questions were all theory questions, no technical questions AT ALL !!!! Sigh .........

Anyways now that my test is over i can concentrate on finishing that song i started hahaha its at about 30% complete. Still need to thinker around with some stuff to make it sound better.

YOSHAAAA !!!!!! My dreams have finally come true, more like i finally moved my lazy ass and did something to accomplish my dream. I have finally found the answers to my dream hahahahhahaha ..............

K enough of me making a fool of myself, but i really am that happy hahaha, last night after reading my company law notes, i felt very sien (if you dunno what that means, ask a malaysian) so i went online to search for any programs that can remix songs, like splicing the track, adding effects and so on. And the answers were right in front of my eyes all along just that i didn't search for it carefully enough, SONY SOUND FORGE AUDIO STUDIO was the answers to my dream. Haha, well at least at this point. I was playing around with the software this morning and i have to say i am quite satisfied with the results so far. I haven't been able to finish a song yet due to my Company Law test tomorrow, when i do i will definetly host it here, just be patient hahaha

Yea !!!! Arsenal beat Chelsea to remain at the top of the EPL. Woohoo !!!! The goal that Gallas scored was just beautiful, the keeper got fooled into estimating the height of the ball, haha if he were only a few inches taller then he would have been able to knock it away. It was a very nerve wrecking match, Manchester United won Liverpool, so the pressure was on Arsenal to win in order for them to remain on top of the EPL, and they DID !!!!!! But boy was that a rough match, 10 yellow cards were given, thankfully no reds.

Today is yet another great day among others. This morning i had wushu classes man YEA i am 6feet 4" and i am practicing wushu hahahhahaa. Anyways after wushu class we played a little futsal. 3 on each side haha. And guess what my side won hahaha with me as the striker hahahaha i managed to score what at least 7 goals and managed to save 6 when i was playing keeper because my friend's ass was painful from the constant falling down to save the ball. Anyways now i am all pumped up for tonight's match
